Twilight Sparkle
The stars on my dress need to be technically accurate.
If I had to choose my favorite pony from the Mane 6 (obviously Luna reigns supreme), I would be completely torn between Twilight Sparkle and Rarity. I follow in Twilight's study habits and nerdiness, but I also enjoy the fun challenge that making and designing costumes presents, much like Rarity. So I decided to create the dress that Rarity made for Twilight for the Grand Galloping Gala! It was a good compromise.
And yes, the stars on the dark blue chiffon are technically accurate! Each fabric star is surrounded by rhinestones that form constellations: Orion, Cassiopeia, Aquila, Leo, Andromeda, and more are recreated on the bottom layer. The top layer features a reproduction of Draco (for Spike). It's the little things that make the costume special, y'know? Construction notes; Click to expand
