This is from a Christmas shoot with Brad Behles Photography! He wanted to do a fun Christmasy shoot, I had a new dress and a fancy white-blonde wig, so we got together, set up an in-home studio, and started shooting! This shoot was very different than the ones I'm used to. It was essentially an in-character fashion shoot, which meant I was the *only* thing of interest in the frame. I had to focus a ton of effort into my posing and expressions, rather than letting the costume do most of the work. Overall, it was a new experience and I learned a lot from it. Even if I wasn't in character 100% of the time. Then we added some dragons... There are a ton of photos with Drogon on my head. Best family portraits ever. The snow effects in particular were really fun. I sprinkled a bunch of glitter snow on me, and Brad composited some falling snow in Photoshop! Overall the effect is really nifty. We also played around with some LEDs. It just adds a touch of magic! We also ended up putting some organza on the backdrop to simulate an ice wall, which worked... INCREDIBLY well. I'd love to do more character-inspired shoots like these to practice modeling. I think that it's the weakest part of my cosplay ability because it requires confidence and practice, both of which are things I desperately need more of. Also, I need practice with Daenerys eyebrows. I thought I made them huge and giant, but they just look like average eyebrows on camera. Oops?
